While some films show you how insane cowboys or militia men could become in the far, post-apocalyptic future, others will tell you the sweet biographical stories of many famous people throughout history. There is, however, one movie genre that always stood out from the rest for its energy, raw emotion and daring risks – erotic films. With that in mind, here’s our list for the top erotic films of all time.
Some of these are rather straightforward and all about that sexiness while others use erotica as a light motive in an otherwise dark thriller plot. No matter which one you pick, we promise you won’t be disappointed….
Cruel Intentions (1999)
It’s based on “Les Liaisons Dangereuses,” it stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon, and it’s one quite peculiar erotic movie that everyone definitely needs to watch.
The 1999 flick tells the story of Gellar’s and Phillippe’s characters, who are step-siblings too rich to do anything other than to flirt with each other while trying to figure out how to morally corrupt Witherspoon’s role. In any case, a must-see.
Wild Things (1998)
If there were two things “Wild Things” would be infamous for, it would be Kevin Bacon’s uncovered penis and a trio between Denise Richards, Neve Campbell, and Matt Dillon. The last is generally a reason to feature Richards topless. Notwithstanding its standard delicate center nature, this film is a generally exhausted, trashy neo-noir.
Fatal Attraction (1987)
If you ever needed an erotic movie to keep you at the edge of your seat, the 1987 “Fatal Attraction” is the perfect flick for you.
Dan (Michael Douglas) has a short weekend extramarital activity with an outsider named Alex (Glenn Close) while his daughter and wife are away. Dan believes it’s a one-time hookup while Alex, then again, will persevere relentlessly until Dan belongs to her and her alone, and she stalks the family man until the point that their relationship reaches a violent end.
Femme Fatale (2002)
Brian De Palma frequently went to Hitchcock for motivation, paying praise to one of the film’s most noteworthy auteurs with dash and flair — and a lot of alluring and provocative plot turns. “Femme Fatale” is no special case. The film stars Rebecca Romijn has a gem criminal who deceives her partner and accept another personality after a noteworthy heist amid the Cannes Film Festival. A long time later, her calm life is flipped around when her ex-partners begin hunting her down.
In the Cut (2003)
Meg Ryan shows everyone that she can do more than her regular America’s Sweetheart role for this thrill ride from the Oscar-winning director and writer Jane Campion.
Ryan plays a New York City teacher named Frannie who leaves on a sexual rebirth with a cop (Mark Ruffalo), who’s endeavoring to settle the murder of a young lady whose body turned up outside Frannie’s loft. Before long, Frannie’s sexual adventure turns terrifying as she doubts her lover’s true intentions — as well as her own.
