For some reason, the Smith kids seem to rub people the wrong way. As if they can’t quite figure them out – they aren’t doing the usual ‘stupid’ things teenagers do (so people can’t chalk it up to teenage silliness) – but still, they’re just a little strange and out there, enough to make most people uncomfortable. I’m not saying that how the media is portraying them is right, but I were forced to see it from the other side, I can maybe see where people are coming from.
That doesn’t mean that I agree. I love how both Will and Jada are allowing their kids to just be. And really letting them shine, whatever that might mean to both Jaden and Willow. I love seeing how their creativity comes through. It’s inspiring. It also seems like both Will and Jada are not restricting the sexuality of both their kids. They seem to be comfortable to be whatever they wish.
So it comes to surprise that Willow would pose in this (awesome) Jean Paul Gaultier T-shirt – which also happens to feature a set of naked breasts. OMG. Stop whatever you’re doing. Cue all the pearl clutchers, well meaning and sexually repressed.
Is she being a bit cheeky and provocative? Yeah, and why the hell not? She’s 14 years-old. Weren’t we all a little bit cheeky at that age? And might I remind all those gasping at the sight of naked breasts on a t-shirt, you’re only reacting that way because of you own prejudice. Perhaps the better question to ask is “Why am I feeling the way I do about this photo?” or even, “What’s wrong with naked breasts? What do I have against them?”
Instead, Willow got so much flack that she deleted the photo from her Instagram account. Tsk. Shame never benefited anyone people.
