“Don’t try to fix it. I just need you to listen.” Every man has heard these words. And they are the law of the land. No matter what.
Film Maker Jason Headley hits the nail on the head with this funny spin on how far this concept can actually go! I have been following Jason’s work on his YouTube channel and it always pleases me that he is able to stay just one step short of the “censorship line” to send out some great messages about sexuality through satire and parody.

This video is yet another spin on Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, an enormously popular book by author John Gray, contains many suggestions for improving relationships between men and women through understanding the communication style and emotional needs of the opposite sex. As suggested by the title, the book asserts the notion that men and women are as different as beings from other planets, and that learning the code of conduct of the opposite sex is of essential value even if individuals do not necessarily conform to the stereotypical behavior.
A recent article in Men’s Health Magazine sums it up, saying “Fifty-three percent of men say that when their girlfriends or wives come to them with a problem, they typically offer suggestions for solving the problem (that’s more than those who say they sympathize and relate, listen, or even pretend to listen). You’re wired to give sympathy when people share their problems with you, and maybe that’s why you expect it, too. Us? We’re wired to analyze the problem, dig in, take care of it, and move on to the next one.” – Men’s Health
