I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely love using pore strips. There’s something about peeling them off and looking at all that gunk that they took off my nose that is just so satisfying, kind of like picking at a scab!
I told you all that I’ve been scouring the net recently trying to find cheap and easy ways to make beauty products and I couldn’t believe my luck when Michelle Phan posted a video on her Youtube channel teaching her subscribers how to make their own pore strip mixture with just two simple ingredients. Michelle also has a ton of videos in which she gives makeup tutorials and other beauty tips.
In case any of you have problems viewing the video here are the instructions:
Homemade Pore Strips
-1 TBSP Unflavored Gelatin
-1 TBSP milk
-microwaveable cup/ bowl
– a foundation brush that you don’t need anymore
*mix milk and gelatin in bowl, microwave it for 10 seconds. It should turn into a kind of gooey mixture.Use brush to apply it to the back of one of your hands to make sure it isn’t too hot. If the temperature is good then go ahead and use the brush to coat your nose or any other part of your skin with the mixture. Let it dry. Now peel it off and enjoy inspecting all the oil and grime that the strip got rid of!
