Just when we were all happily finishing the last book in the Fifty Shades Of Grey trilogy, along comes this total eye-candy movie to keep us all feeling naughty and horny for the steamy days of summer!
MAGIC MIKE!
Set in the world of male strippers, Magic Mike is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars Channing Tatum in a story inspired by his real life. The film follows Mike (Channing Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money, to the delight of the hundreds of women that come to their strip shows. Matthew McConaughey add the finishing touch looking better than ever before!
It’s not exactly Shakespeare as far as plot, script and character development, but this one should win an Oscar for best casting of really hot guys with six packs performing for women out for a night of sexy fun.

And, for some personal observations, I have a few funny and cute ones….
I was talking to one of my girlfriends today, Chandie at Rude.com, and she told me that about a week ago, she and another girlfriend made a date to go see this movie on opening night. Then, 3 days later, there were 7 in the group from word of mouth. And then, 2 days later 14, And, as of today, there are 21 of them going as a “girl’s night out” for the LA premier. Chandie has been working in the online erotica biz for a lot of years and has pretty much seen everything (some things you just can “un-see” she quips), and said that she has NEVER seen such a groundswell of women coming out of the closet, looking for erotic fantasy movies and books as has been happening lately. Go Girls!
The other funny story was from a phone chat I had with a guy today that I work with. I asked him if he was going to take his girlfriend out this Friday night to see Magic Mike. He sort of snorted and said, “NO WAY! A theater full of screaming women swooning for a bunch of half naked guys. Yeah, Right! Besides, I think there are some things girls just need to do with their friends. So gals, this one seems to have the everyone twittering. Love it!
