Female orgasms – for some the simplest thing, for others, well, an unachievable goal. There are many urban legends about this magical event, which according to some happens once every three years or something like that. It doesn’t matter where it takes place – in the bedroom, in a shopping mall changing room or on a transgender dating site – some people will still have misconceptions about it.
That’s why we’ve decided to debunk these stories once and for all by clearing up what is a fact and what is a myth. Without further ado, here are the top 4 misconceptions and truths about the female orgasm.
There’s only One Type of Female Orgasm
Just as many people don’t know how it happens, many individuals believe that a woman can reach climax only by having vaginal sex with a man. In reality, this is almost entirely false.
Although girls can reach orgasm vaginally while being penetrated by a man, this isn’t the only way for them to achieve the peak of sexual pleasure. Just as an example, there’s also the clitoral orgasm, which can be reached by stimulating the clitoris – and empirically, it’s much easier this way.
Verdict: mostly a myth
The G-Spot causes Orgasms
As we’ve stated above, there is more than one type of female orgasm. Since vaginal is one of the most common, it’s also noteworthy to talk about the G-spot.
This infamous location in a woman’s vagina is for some guys like a needle in a haystack – they can never, ever find it, no matter what they do, while some guys don’t even know that it exists. But it’s biology that tells us that this is an authentic thing and that it can play a significant role when it comes to reaching a big O.
Verdict: 100% fact
Female Orgasm is Hard to Fake
Because there are a lot of men that don’t know the first thing about making a woman “see the stars” in bed, it’s entirely justified that most of them believe that it’s almost or if not altogether impossible to fake a female orgasm. On the other hand, those with even a little bit of experience know that this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Depending on the woman, an orgasm can be mildly or extremely easy to act out. Girls who practice more get better at it, but it’s not that difficult to fake like your eyes are rolling to the back of your head due to the immense sexual pleasure that you’re feeling.
Verdict: total nonsense
Once is Enough
We can easily blame Hollywood films for making us believe that one orgasm is all a woman can do in a single session of bedroom rodeo. In reality, science and curiosity have proven over and over again that women can do much more than men in this regard, even to a point where a girl can have multiple orgasms in quick succession if she and/or her partner know what they’re doing.
Verdict: complete baloney
