Vibrators are, almost by definition, an extremely personal object. While they can be shared as a partner, usually it’s a one-at-a-time type of scenario. While the “holder” might get pleasure from watching the person they’re using it on, any stimulation they get to enjoy happens from other sources, not usually the vibe itself. The Sharevibe changes that in a really exciting way, making the use of a sex toy not so much a stop along the way to pleasure as an intrinsic part of it.
The Brand
To begin with, I’m so pleased this beauty’s from Fun Factory. I’ve been a fan of their company from my very beginnings in the sex toy industry – I’ve loved them both as a personal user and as a buyer, because I’ve heard and seen the happiness they bring to others. A German company, they first caught my eye through their range of non-realistic dildos and vibrators at a time when those were hard to find in the adult toy industry. They used – and use – amazing quality vibrator motors that make toys an investment in pleasure for years, not months.
They also use real silicone, which is body-friendly and chemically inert. This is vital, especially for women, as the chemicals leached from materials like jelly can be absorbed through vaginal walls during play, causing nasty reactions like UTIs in some users. Not so with the soft, semi-firm silicone used in the Sharevibe, here – it’s not only safe to use, it cleans up like a dream because it’s non-porous. Just slip the powerful removable bullet out and the body of the toy is safe to boil, or even toss in the top rack of the dishwasher without soap. This sterilize-able surface also means that the toy can be used for both vaginal and anal play, provided it’s cleaned between those uses.
The Sex Toy
The body doesn’t have sharp edges internally, so it never made much sense to me that some sex toys are all unyielding ridges and strange textures – especially if they’re made for thrusting. The Sharevibe gets that, and incorporates smoothly rounded sides and ends at every angle. The kidney bean-shaped short stem is shaped for insertion in the vagina (though it can be used anally, if you prefer) that follows the natural shape of the body. A smartly-designed bump at the base is wide enough to stimulate the wearer’s clitoris while in use, a very nice touch indeed, and also the “taker’s” clitoris or perineum, depending on sex and position preferences. Both the wearable and thrustable sides incorporate a gentle curve – this makes G-spot or prostate stimulation easy and fun, and sex while wearing this strapless strap-on natural and enjoyable.
The beauty of this toy is in its versatility – it can be grasped by the short stem for self-thrusting during solo pleasure, it can be worn by anyone and used on anyone no matter what sex they are. This may be the first toy that is truly bisexual! The 5-speed bullet can also be removed from the cavity below the toy, where it delivers vibrations up and down both shafts, and used independently for stimulation and foreplay. It does the work of several toys, cleans up with ease, and doesn’t need batteries – and that’s a hard combination of benefits to find in any toy.
The Toy in Use
Here’s the real test for the Sharevibe: does it do the job? YES! Maybe it’s the smooth surface (add some water-based lube if you like things really slippery, as silicone lube shouldn’t be used on silicone toys), maybe it’s that delicious curve that hits all the right spots, but it feels absolutely incredible. While the space between the stem end and the thrusting end doesn’t look like it has much clearance – I myself worried that I’d end up with this vertical faux dick that would need to be held away from my stomach – it bows out at a comfortable angle for penetration, even on my curvy body.
I think the toy may be a little easier to keep in without manual assistance – the much-touted strapless strap-on feature – if you’re a little larger, but overall I think it does what it purports to on any body type. If you are using the toy anally on a partner, there will likely be more resistance than thrusting vaginally, so make sure you apply lots of lube and get your butt fun partner warmed up and ready first!
The Toy After Play
Cleaning up was, predictably and thankfully, very simple. If you’re doing anal play, you may want to slide a condom on any end that’s due to go in a butt, but that’s just a basic sex toy cleaning hack, regardless of toy type. Make sure you pay special cleaning attention to the juncture near the bump in the toy; we found this is where fluids tended to gravitate to. The usual “dildos everywhere” post cleanup tableau was spared by the smartly removable bullet here – the body of the toy could be cleaned and dried elsewhere while we charged the unassuming, non-explicit bullet right on the bedside table.
Like most of Fun Factory’s newest vibrators sold at a discount at Castle Megastore, it uses a delightful click-and-charge feature, wherein the charger and the toy’s two charging “bumps” are magnetically attracted to each other. No ports in inconvenient places, no rubber flaps to cover up recessed ports – just get the bullet and the charger within an inch of each other and the magnetics click it neatly into place. I really, genuinely LOVE this feature, and it’s one I’ve used a ton of times in my Fun Factory Stronic Eins.
If you’ve been looking for a high quality sex toy that you can enjoy with your partner(s), this wonderful invention needs a place of honor in your adult toy collection. I’m pretty picky and I really enjoyed it, so I’m wagering that most people interested enough to research the toy will as well. Give it a shot and you’ll see that well-designed mutual pleasure is the very best kind!
